I'm standing in a dark, swamplike area in who-knows-where. I don't know how I arrived here, but I don't seem to care. I walk forward and try to find something. Suddenly, I see 2 eyes in the trees. Big eyes, ones like an owl's. Then suddenly, I hear a voice.

"You...are not ready yet..."

I look up and wonder what he means.

"I will come back when you are ready..."

"But, when will I be ready?" I think out loud as the pair of eyes fades away. Then, my dream starts turning into a nightmare. A bunch of vines grab me around my arms, waist, legs, and soon my neck, and I can't do anything to break free. I struggle and thrash, but the bonds only tightened, trying to squeeze the life out of me. Suddenly I hear a girl yeling out to me, telling me to get out, or up, or some kind of of direction until...

--------

"Johnny, wake up!"

My eyes burst open instantly, and I sit up in my bed with a scream, sweating and panting heavily. What a dream! Or rather, what a nightmare. I look around the room, which is all square and stone, and realize I'm still in my house. Actually, it wasn't my house. It was someone else's who let us stay.

Suddenly, I remember: I'm a human turned Pikachu, along with another girl named Andrea who turned into an Eevee. We had realized that we were in something like a Mystery Dungeon game gone weird, and we had done our first mission. We barely knew any moves, and the moves we knew weren't our usual moves that Pikachus and Eevees would get from the start.

Now I wonder, where's Andrea? I get up and look around for her. I see Tails, the Vulpix who took us in and let us use his house, but other than that, I don't see anyone. From what I experienced before, Andrea always seems to surprise me, so I look around as I walk around the house. But then, suddenly, something (or someone) comes crashing down on me, pinning me down to the floor.

"Looking for me?" a familiar voice says by my big ears. I crane my neck up and see that smiling, spunky Eevee girl sitting on top of me. "You're so silly, grunting and  moaning all night. Were you trying to keep me up all night?" Andrea asks as she bats her fluffy tail against mine.

I sigh and say to her, "Andrea, I'm not in the mood. I had a bad dream, and I don't want to talk about it."

"Awww, you're no fun. You know what you need?" she asks as she suddenly wags her tail faster.

I get a little nervous, especially because the last two times I needed lightening up, she tickled me. And I don't really like tickling. But maybe she was in a tickling mood the day before. Maybe she'll back off easily this time.

"No, I don't need anything, and I never will! So if you could just-"

"Oh, yes you do, little Pikachu!" she teases me. "You need a nice, fun tickle!"

And thus, my theory was flattened, pounded, beaten, and thrown to the dogs.

"Oh crud." I manage to say before she sticks her front paws under my arms and wiggles her fingers like no tomorrow.

I immediately try holding it in, but the feeling is way too much to bear, and I end up bursting into laughter. She's only tickling under my arms and I'm almost in hysterics, begging her to stop. Then she gets at my ribs making me almost squeal- yes, squeal- with laughter. I barely have the energy to beg and plead anymore or try to get her off, so eventually, I just bury my head in my tiny arms and laugh until tears come out of my eyes. And after a few minutes, I slowly start to stand it. It either doesn't tickle as much or I'm starting to enjoy it. Then, she slows to a stop.

"Hehehehehehehe..." I giggle before regaining my dignity. "That...tickles" I manage to say before she helps me up.

"Feel better?" Andrea asks me.

"Y-yeah. I feel a lot better." It was true. All that tickling had worked. I'm not annoyed or upset anymore. Just a bit tingly around my tiny ribcage.

Then, someone other than Andrea asks, "Are you guys done? You laugh so loud, I'm surprised it doesn't wake the Ghost Pokemon." It was Tails, yawning and driven awake from my little tickle session.

"Sorry about that. I was kinda taken by surprise," I say as I nudge my foot against one of Andrea's.

"It's my fault." Andrea says. "I just love hearing him laugh."

"No, blame me." I half-tease to Andrea. "I was too ticklish to stand it!"

Suddenly, we hear a knock at the door. I volunteer to get it, and see a Treecko in front of me. She looked a bit different from most Treeko, mostly because had hair. Blond hair.

"Uh, are you three, like, a Rescue Team?" she asks. She sounds a lot like a valley girl to me. Weird.

"Yes. What do you need?" I ask her.

"Uh, duh! I need a, you know, Rescue Team? My daughter Emily is missing!"

Her daughter? Ouch, that seems harsh. "Where did you last see her?" I ask her.

"Well, she said she'd, like, be in the Charter Forest, where that weird scientist and his assistant have that mansion." She gasps. "Oh no, she must've been, like, kidnapped!"

She's getting riled up. Not a good thing. I try to calm her down. "Please, take it easy. It's really unlikely Emily got kidnapped. Now, what is your name?"

She says her name is Nicole. I make a mental note of that. Nicole the Treecko. Not hard to remember. "And where is this Charter Forest? Can you take us there?"

"Okay, sure. I think it's, like, this way," she starts walking, and I start to follow.

"Wait!" Andrea calls to me. "Johnny, I don't think I we can do this. I can barely walk on all fours, you know.

"Actually, it's not a problem," Tails explains to me. "As you can see, I've been a quadruped all my life. I'm sure I can teach her how. You can go on this mission alone, right?"

He did have a point. Last time Andrea and I went on a mission, I had to carry her since she stumbled a lot. Since I could walk on my hindpaws, I didn't have that problem. And Tails teaching Andrea how to walk seemed like a good idea, and if he could train her a bit as well, that would be even better. "All right. Andrea, Tails will teach you how to walk on all fours, while I go out and find little Emily."

"All right, I guess." she replies. "Good luck."

I nod to her and follow Nicole the Treecko to Charter Forest to find her daughter.

Along the way, I had some questions for Nicole. "Pardon me, Nicole, but how will I find Emily? What if there's more than one Treecko with her or something?"

"Like, don't worry. That maybe won't happen." she replies to me. "But if it does, remember one thing. She wears a little ring around her tail. A shiny silver ring."

I thank her. So she's a small Treecko with a silver ring on her tail. Shouldn't be that hard to find now.

When we get there, she tells me, "While you're in there, watch out. That scientist in the mansion is, y'know, crazy. Most of his test subjects stay in, like, the woods. At night, if you listen closely, you can, like, hear laughing. I dunno if it's, like, insane or just, y'know, regular laughing, but still, watch your back."

I thank her again, but discard her info since it sounds far-fetched and really crazy. And with that, I walk into the Charter Forest.

I keep walking straight, past the trees and plant life, for what seems like an hour, before I come across a house. Or rather, a mansion. It seemed like the usual cliche "scary lab of an evil scientist" quots, all right. But it didn't seem like anything scary. I confidently walk up to the gate, which creaks open.
"Oooh, real scary. Heh." I say sarcastically as I roll my eyes. I take 4 steps in his grounds and look around. Plants, garden stuff, and a very old metal slide. There goes what's left of this mansion's scary factor. Suddenly, I feel a rumbling sound, and the ground below me opens like a trapdoor. I scream, realizing that Nicole was right all along, and grab onto the edge of the trapdoor, hanging on for dear life. Then suddenly, something sprays me, and I let go of the trapdoor, startled, and fall.

I scream in fright, especially since I'm afraid of falling, but instead of feeling the ground hit me, I hit something soft, like a pillow. Very relieved, I shout out in triumph, whooping with glee that I fell about 50 feet and came out unscathed! But then, I fall over, suddenly sleepy. I realize that the spray that made me fall was some sort of slow-acting knockout gas. The last thing I see is an orange, clawed foot near my face as I fall asleep to the sound of what seemed like a mischievous chuckle before I conk out and am forced into dreamland.
